Do you have SIBO?

sibo

When you have SIBO, as food passes through the small intestine, the bacterial overgrowth interferes with the healthy digestive and absorption process. The bacterium associated with SIBO actually consumes some of the foods and nutrients, leading to unpleasant symptoms,                       including gas, bloating and pain.

Symptoms may also include: Nausea,Bloating, Vomiting, Malnutrition, Weight loss, Joint pain, IBS Symptoms, Fatigue, Acne, Ezcema , Asthma, depression, fructose intolerance, allergies, rashes and more.

Dr Tanya Kelly is qualified to treat SIBO (Small intestinal bacterial overgrowth) with a                    combination of  diet, antimicrobial’s and digestive stimulates.

The Sibo Diet included foods which are not ferment able in the gut and are easy to digest. It is a combination of the GAPS diet, SCD and low FODMAP diet. The main foods to avoid are Garlic, onions, diary, bread or wheat of any kind, sweet  potatoes, potatoes, cauliflower plus many more.

However, diet alone is not enough to treat SIBO as it will only suppress symptoms but not eliminate. For that you need antimicrobial herbs containing Phellodendron and garlic extract to kill off the bacteria. Digestion is also of up most importance in the treatment as undigested food breeds bacteria so it is vital to get digestion working properly.  It is recommend to: avoid snacking,  eat larger meals and leave at least 3 hours between meals to allow all food to be digested undisturbed. Drinking plenty of water is also necessary to flush out impurities. Please call to make an appointment today with Dr Tanya Kelly, who is practicing as holistic Chiropractor in Palm beach, QLD.
