Kidney Stones
nephrolithiasis
Kidney Stones are made up of Calcium oxylate crystals, they are hard mineral deposits that form in the kidneys.
These crystal or stones become lodged in your urinary tract and get stuck. They may restrict the flow of urine, causing another level of discomfort. The largest kidney stone ever recorded weighed nearly 1.1Kg. If the stone happens to be small, it may pass through your urinary tract unnoticed. But if it’s a large one, it is not pleasant and may require surgical removal.
The largest stones require surgical removal and cannot be passed through the urine.
