The most powerful decrease in delayed onset   muscle soreness from exercise and perceived fatigue was due to Massage.

Researchers in France looked at 99 studies on post exercise recovery and found that modalities such as  recovery massage, compression garments, immersion, contrast water therapy and cryotherapy  induced a small to large decrease in the magnitude of delayed onset muscle soreness after exercise.
