Headaches can be present for a variety of reasons.

  • Physical cause: mechanical in nature, due to poor posture; eyestrain or from the jaw
  • Chemical cause: premenstrual, migraine, stress related, cold/ flu type, sinusitis or from toxic exposure.

Depending on the nature of the headache, I would deal with it in different ways. My goal              always, is to address the cause of the problem. As a Holistic Chiropractor, I am always interested in looking at the body as a whole, and addressing the drivers of poor health.

The nervous system controls every cell in the body, so by addressing spinal misalignments (Subluxations) and thus reducing interference on the nervous system, communication between the brain and the nerve is improved and as such, headaches are very much  improved and if the drivers are adapted to, the  headaches are a thing of the past.

Sometimes there are added reasons why people have headaches. It could be:

  • Poor walking, which will wind up their spinal cord and push their posture into the wrong position.
  • Stomach sleeping
  • Jaw misalignments
  • Liver/Bowel toxicity
  • Hormonal imbalances
  • Immune system working too hard
  • Sinus congestion

Inability to adapt to stresses, &,as such, producing too many stress hormones and thus                creating inflammation & toxicity.

When a new client chooses to seek out my care, they have 2 choices
(1) To get to the cause of the problem, which can be uncomfortable and take time, but is really rewarding in the long term.
(2) To get rid of the symptoms for the short term, but not address the long term drivers.
