Threadworm

Threadworm is a common  infection in human caused by Enterobius vermicularis (E. vermicularis), a human intestinal helminth. It has an extremely high prevalence in overcrowded  conditions, such as nurseries and primary schools. Threadworm symptoms are extremely diverse in children, ranging from nausea,    diarrhoea, insomnia, irritability, recurrent cellulitis, loss of appetite, nightmares and pelvic inflammatory disease.

Threadworm can sometimes be misdiagnosed as mental health  disorders, so parasite testing is   important in children to ascertain the cause of  behavioural problems.

Treating Threadworm successfully requires an approach that not only kills off the adults, but prevents eggs from hatching and making the immune system strong enough at the Gut wall, so the worms cannot attach again.   Ask at our  reception for the 6 week worm detox for your children.
